There’s a place for you here
There are lots of ways to get involved at St James Church Gatley. Whether you are new, exploring faith, looking for friendship, or wanting to serve, we would love to welcome you.

There is plenty happening through the week, including worship, prayer, Bible reflection, and community group.

SIGN-UP and JOIN the Church Electoral Roll 2026
Our Electoral Roll is the signed-up membership of those who feel a sense of belonging to our community.
If you already worship regularly at st James Church, or take part in our church life through groups, events, and activities, you are already part of our church family! Whether you attend Sunday services, midweek gatherings, children’s groups, Bible studies, or community events, your presence is valued, and we love journeying together in faith. The Electoral Roll is simply a way of formally expressing that connection.
Being on the roll also allows you to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and to stand for the PCC. But the roll is more than just an administrative technicality; it’s a way of saying, “This is my church family.”
Ask in church for an application form or download it here.
The church is open daily from 9:30am to 3:00pm for quiet reflection and prayer. You can light a candle, leave a prayer, or simply spend time in the peace of the church building.
If you are asking questions about Christianity, returning to church, or wanting to know more about Jesus, you are very welcome. Find out what we believe here or come along on a Sunday and get in touch to start a conversation.
St James is supported by the generosity of its church family and community. You can give online, give in church, or set up regular giving. Gift Aid is also available for eligible donations. See the different ways you can support us or donate online now.
There are many ways to serve, including welcoming, hospitality, practical help, children’s work, prayer, music, and administration. If you would like to get involved, speak to someone after a service or contact us.
You can also follow St James online through Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, and our blog.
