Funerals at St James

Losing someone we love is never easy. Whether their death was expected or sudden, it can be a time of sadness, uncertainty and many difficult decisions.

At St James, we understand how important it is to say goodbye in a way that is personal, meaningful and full of love. We're here to offer support, comfort and a listening ear.

A church funeral is an opportunity to give thanks for someone's life, to remember and celebrate all that they meant to us, and to find comfort and hope in God's love.

Every person is different, and every funeral is different too. We'll work with you to plan a service that reflects the life of the person you've lost, with readings, music, prayers and personal memories.

Our vicar, Rev Jack Marsh, will be happy to talk with you, answer any questions and help you through the arrangements.
