St James Church ministry and building maintenance are funded by voluntary donations.
If you would like to contribute to support your local parish church then please take a look at the ways to give.
One-off Donation
You can make a one-off donation in church using cash or cheque.
During services you can place it on the collection plate. During the week you can deposit it in the secure donations box in the wall at the back of church.
Don't forget to use the gift aid envelope if you would like us to claim gift aid.
Regular giving
Monthly giving is vital to our mission as it enables us to plan ahead. If you would like to make regular contributions to the work of St James Church, please get in touch with one of our Churchwardens either in church or by email.
Leave a legacy
If you are considering leaving a gift to St James Church in your will and would like to talk to somebody, then please contact one of our Churchwardens either in church or by email. For more general information, take a look at the Church of England’s website on Legacies.
Gift Aid
If you pay Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the UK, we can claim back 25p on every £1 you donate through the Gift Aid scheme, recovered from the money you've paid in those taxes. To allow us to do this, please complete the Gift Aid declaration when you set up a standing order or on the pink envelope in church.
See HMRC for more information.
